Delta announced on March 8 that it has signed a contract with Amerlux, a US LED lighting solution manufacturer. Delta Electronics (Netherlands) BV, a 100% subsidiary of Delta Electronics, will acquire Amerlux for US$90 million and strengthen its buildings. The automation business is expected to complete the transaction in the second quarter.

Delta said that the building automation business is one of the key points of strategic development in recent years. The acquisition aims to strengthen the product portfolio of lighting fixtures to provide customers with building automation, energy management, LED industrial and commercial lighting within the framework of IoT. , security monitoring, decentralized air conditioning and other aspects, more towards a complete smart green solution, moving towards sustainable smart buildings and cities.

In addition, the Earn-out agreement is agreed. If Amerlux's 2019 operating income and profit before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization reach certain conditions, Delta will pay or pay the price according to the contract.

Delta said that it will retain Amerlux's original management team and staff in the future. The plant in Auckland, New Jersey will continue to operate and produce indoor and outdoor lighting products, including a variety of innovative high-end indoor and outdoor lighting.

In recent years, Delta has acquired the building control companies Delta Controls, Loytec and Jingrui through strategy, and now acquires Amerlux, and actively expands its smart green solutions to the sustainable building and the city.
